Honor Student and Engaged Community Membe

A recent high school graduate, Mason Bird not only excelled in academics but also volunteered as an active member of his community. As a high school student, Mason Bird successfully completed a number of Advanced Placement courses and was named to the honor roll all four years. He also earned membership into and served as president of the National Honor Society, an organization that recognizes excellence in academics, leadership, and community service.

Beyond his studies, Mason Bird spent much of his spare time helping others. On two separate occasions, he traveled to Honduras with a group of adults and students to provide assistance to underprivileged populations. He also worked weekends at a lodge where he supervised the outdoor activities of the campers, including paintball, running, and zip lining. As a volunteer, he generously gave of his time to a local soup kitchen, Operation Christmas Child, Miracle Hill Children’s Home, and the Special Olympics.

In his spare time, Mason Bird enjoys traveling, painting, fishing, and playing his favorite sport, soccer. He is also avid reader and cites Ted Dekker, Christopher Paolini, and JRR Tolkien among his favorite authors.
